Dedicated to the Pitch
AJ Mason is a great friend, and even better model.
He recently reached out to update his book for DNA—his representation, and I was in the midst of pitching a regional retail fashion brand for their brand development & social strategy and needed some images to convey what potential there was to have a brand that was reflective of the quality of their inventory.

200 Acres
While scouting locations, the scene was incredibly important, as the strategy was to be focused on people from the community, wearing the clothes as their authentic selves to reflect the importance of not just the clothes, but the people that wear them, in order to broaden social engagement for the brand.
The natural solution was to spend an afternoon at a friend's 200 acres of property—complete with dilapidated house, an old truck, and - of course - a bee hive that we discovered inadvertently.

The Presentation
While some stock photos were necessary for the presentation, the inclusion of a cohesive photo story was incredibly impact on the final product. They provided an opportunity to create mockups for social campaigns, and provided the visual context necessary to bring the client along on the journey as to what their brand could potentially achieve when working together.
