While working with Poplar, our team did a small tour of the largest composting projects in the US to document the sheer amount of food waste that was being produced in mid-sized regions of the country. We approached the project as a means to highlight our motto that “Composting is beautiful” by highlighting the beauty of food decomposition and those who contribute to helping in diverting food waste

Our first partner was Happy Trashcan out of Bozeman, MT. Working with both residential and commercial entities to reduce the amount of food that would wind up in the landfill. It was both jarring and beautiful to see just how much food is wasted - and quantify the impact we helping to contribute towards with our partnership
